McLoughlin named MVP and HOY for 2022
After a lights out 2022, Troy McLoughlin of the Newmarket Hawks was named the GTBL MVP and Hitter of the Year at the annual awards banquet. The slick fielding shortstop hit .464 to lead the league, finished second in runs scored(24), third in hits(32) and also smacked an eye opening 15 doubles

Both the Ajax Spartans and Newmarket Hawks played into Sunday evening, before falling at the 2022 Ontario Championships in Windsor. The Spartans and Hawks both managed three wins to lead the league entries, before the Windsor Stars claimed the title on Monday at Cullen Stadium.
