Both the Ajax Spartans and Newmarket Hawks played into Sunday evening, before falling at the 2022 Ontario Championships in Windsor. The Spartans and Hawks both managed three wins to lead the league entries, before the Windsor Stars claimed the title on Monday at Cullen Stadium.

Heading into Sunday ten of the eighteen entries into the double knockout tournament remained, with five of them(East York was eliminated) from the GTBL.

Big moments over the weekend saw Ajax send the Tecumseh Thunder home in round three with a 5-3 win on the strength of a Glenn Reeves 2R HR in extra innings. The Kendal Eagles started 2-0, including a 4-0 win over finalist Sarnia, as junior pickup Braden Babcock was simply untouchable.
