It only took six innings off offense for the Leaside Leafs to plate twelve runs, and mercy the visiting Thornhill Reds 12-0 on Thursday night at Talbot Park.

Chris Goodale(1-0) fired six strong innings of shutout ball for Leaside in earning the win, fanning eight Reds hitters. Leafs veteran Henry Yap collected another three hits, continuing his strong start to 2022.

Mack Major(0-1) suffered the loss for the now 0-2 Reds.

Next GTBL action is a holiday Monday double header at Stan Wadlow Park, where the Kendal Eagles fly in to see the East York Bulldogs. Game one is set for 6pm.
