The Kendal Eagles foray into the GTBL started on a positive note, as they earned a 7-5 home win against the Pickering Red Sox to open their season.
Ryan Norris(1-0) worked a complete game to pick up the win, while Ryan Davis and Sam Cawker had three hits each for Kendal in the win. Peter Nash(0-1) was the loser in relief for Pickering, and Glenn Reeves homered in the loss for the visitors.
