The GTBL season started this week, and after four games played the Ajax Spartans sit in first place at 2-0.

On opposite ends of things the EY Bulldogs, coughed up a four run lead in the bottom of the ninth in Newmarket to close opening week at 0-2. Some notable early performances included three hit opening nights from East York outfielder Felix Veilleux and infielder Brandon Nieva, a gutsy 7 inning relief win from Leaside veteran Jorge Frugoni, a four hit game for Hawk Len Wood, a 5 walk second game for EY's Nieva, a three HR opening game for the Eagles, and a four hit- 2 double game for Spartans lead off man Jeremy Marinelli.

 

Week two has another four games on the schedule.
