Make it two of the last three seasons for manager Steve Marshall and his squad from Durham Region, the Pickering Red Sox are the 2019 GTBL champions. The Red Sox waltzed through the double elimination tournament unscathed, winning three straight to capture the leauge title. Two of the victories came at the expense of the defending champion Thornhill Reds who the Red Sox beat 4-2 on opening night and followed it up with a solid 9-2 win in Sunday's final.
Congratulations to manager Marshall, and all the players, coaches, fans and followers of the Red Sox on a great year.
